Role overview

We are partnering with an established North American technology solutions and managed-services provider to hire a SLED Territory Account Executive across Boston and the wider New England market.

This is a genuine territory-development position focused primarily on winning new state, local government and education customers while expanding selected existing relationships. You will prospect consistently, develop senior relationships and lead complex technology sales from first conversation through close.

The role is remote but highly customer-facing. The strongest candidates will have personally opened public-sector accounts in Massachusetts or New England and will be comfortable building a territory rather than relying on inherited demand.

What You’ll Do

• Build and execute a territory plan focused on high-potential SLED accounts across New England.
• Create net-new pipeline through cold calling, account research, events, partner relationships and campaigns.
• Research customer technology strategies, upcoming projects, budgets, decision-makers and incumbents.
• Lead the full sales cycle from initial outreach and discovery through proposal, negotiation and close.
• Build relationships with public-sector technology buyers, procurement teams and executive sponsors.
• Coordinate solution architects, technical specialists and partner resources throughout each opportunity.
• Work with presales teams to develop proposals and statements of work.
• Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting and account activity through CRM.

Skills Required

• At least two years of successful solution-based technology sales in a territory assignment.
• Direct outside-sales experience with end-user accounts.
• A demonstrable hunter track record where results depended on winning new business.
• Relevant Massachusetts or New England SLED relationships and knowledge of public-sector buying cycles.
• Evidence of sustained quota performance and net-new logo wins.
• Experience building senior and C-level relationships across complex accounts.
• Comfort using a structured enterprise qualification and solution-selling methodology.
• Resilience, strong listening skills, sound commercial judgement and clear communication.
• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, plus a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
