We are partnering with an established North American technology solutions and managed-services provider to hire a Federal Territory Account Executive. The business delivers workplace, cloud, networking, cybersecurity, customer-experience and managed technology solutions.
This is a hands-on hunting role focused on building new relationships and expanding selected accounts across the US Federal market. You will create pipeline from a standing start, navigate complex agency environments and coordinate the technical, partner and executive resources needed to win.
The role is remote and field-based, with travel as required. It suits a commercially driven federal seller who can combine disciplined prospecting with strong knowledge of technology buying processes and partner ecosystems.
What You’ll Do
• Build and execute a federal territory plan focused on net-new customer acquisition and sustainable account growth.
• Research agencies to understand mission priorities, stakeholders, budgets, incumbents and upcoming initiatives.
• Generate pipeline through direct outreach, cold calling, networking, partner engagement and campaigns.
• Develop relationships with agency technology leaders, procurement stakeholders and executive sponsors.
• Position solutions across cloud, cybersecurity, connectivity, collaboration, workplace and managed services.
• Coordinate solution architects, technical specialists, partners and executives throughout each opportunity.
• Work with presales teams to develop proposals and statements of work.
• Maintain accurate pipeline and forecasts using CRM and a structured qualification approach.
Skills Required
• A strong hunter mentality with evidence of winning net-new federal technology customers.
• At least two years of successful solution-based technology sales experience.
• Outside-sales experience working directly with end-user accounts.
• Experience owning a territory and achieving quota through new business.
• Understanding of federal technology priorities, procurement processes and stakeholder groups.
• Experience working with OEMs, integrators, channel partners and internal solution architects.
• Ability to present effectively to technical teams and C-suite audiences.
• Strong discovery, negotiation, listening, forecasting and written communication skills.
• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience, plus willingness to travel.
