The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager to lead the strategy, development and delivery of digital products and services within the health and care sector. This is an opportunity to work on complex, high-impact programmes that improve user outcomes, drive service transformation and support the delivery of modern digital services.

The successful candidate will provide product leadership across multidisciplinary teams, shaping product vision, managing stakeholders and ensuring solutions are aligned to user needs, organisational objectives and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate product vision, strategy and roadmaps.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams delivering digital products and services.
  • Drive discovery, prioritisation and delivery activities using Agile methodologies.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders to understand challenges, build consensus and align priorities.
  • Translate user needs, business goals and policy requirements into actionable product outcomes.
  • Manage and prioritise product backlogs to maximise value delivery.
  • Use data, research and user insight to inform decision-making.
  • Facilitate workshops, stakeholder engagement sessions and product reviews.
  • Support teams through the full product lifecycle, from discovery through to live service.
  • Champion user-centred design principles and continuous improvement practices.
  • Identify risks, dependencies and constraints, ensuring successful delivery of outcomes.

Essential Experience

  • Significant experience in a Product Manager or Senior Product Manager role.
  • Experience delivering digital products within healthcare, public sector or other highly regulated environments.
  • Strong understanding of Agile delivery approaches including Scrum and Kanban.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams comprising designers, researchers, analysts and engineers.
  • Proven ability to develop product strategies, roadmaps and prioritisation frameworks.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong user-centred approach with experience of discovery, user research and evidence-based decision making.
  • Experience balancing user needs, technical constraints and business objectives.
  • Ability to operate effectively in complex environments with multiple stakeholders.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working within health and care settings.
  • Knowledge of digital service standards and service assessment frameworks.
  • Experience delivering services through Discovery, Alpha, Beta and Live phases.
  • Understanding of accessibility, information governance, data privacy and compliance requirements.
  • Exposure to AI, automation or emerging digital technologies.
